A politically active member of the Asian American community, she has worked with organizations including the Asian American Action (AAA) Fund, and the District of Columbia Commission on Asian Pacific Americans.
Previously Ms. Bueno served in the White House on President Clinton's Domestic Policy Council; as deputy assistant secretary for Congressional liaison at the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services; and as a staff member for two Democratic members of Congress from California, former Senator Alan Cranston and former Representative Ed Roybal.
NABE welcomes our new colleague and looks forward to tapping her wealth of experience on behalf of English language learners.
